More Than a Walk-In Clinic

Building a Healthier, More Connected Community.

The Preventative Care & Wellness Walk-In Clinic is more than a place to receive healthcare.

It is an opportunity to connect residents with trusted health professionals, preventive services, referrals, and community resources.

Through this partnership, ACAO and SEOCHC are helping create a community where people can seek care, ask questions, receive support, and take proactive steps toward better health.

Our Vision

Accessible Healthcare. Stronger Communities.

We envision a community where access to healthcare is not determined by financial circumstances, cultural barriers, or whether someone has a family doctor.

Through partnerships like this, ACAO will continue working to connect African Canadian, Black, newcomer, and diverse communities with services that promote health, wellbeing, and inclusion.

Community Partnership

Healthcare Is Stronger When We Work Together.

The Preventative Care & Wellness Walk-In Clinic is made possible through a partnership between the African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO) and the South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre (SEOCHC). Together, we are working to create a more accessible and culturally responsive pathway to healthcare for Ottawa residents.

ACAO

For ACAO, this partnership represents what community development is all about: identifying community needs, building meaningful partnerships, and creating practical solutions that improve people's lives.

SEOCHC

For SEOCHC, community health means listening to residents, building trust, and finding innovative ways to reduce barriers to care.
