ACAO brings together organizations, leaders, families, and community partners to support the welfare, visibility, and progress of African Canadians and Black communities across Ottawa.

Mission

ACAO exists to strengthen community access, dignity, participation, and representation for people of African descent in the National Capital Region.

The African Canadian Association of Ottawa is a community organization committed to improving the welfare of African Canadians and the Black community through programs, partnerships, advocacy, and civic participation.

ACAO supports settlement and integration, youth development, housing, health initiatives, financial education, seniors programming, community resources, and pathways to empowerment.
