ACAO Promotion / Visibility & Growth Committee

We are working to control our own narratives. What is written about our experiences in mainstream media is often inaccurate. Raising awareness and promoting our subjective experiences by telling our personal stories is highly encouraged in order for us to be heard and portrayed accurately.

This committee works on aiding media narratives and spearheading media discussions about our experiences as people of African descent. This Committee is also in charge of:

ACAO Membership i.e. membership rules and expectations.
Promotion of ACAO and ACAO events.
Representing ACAO in media forums and discussions.
Advocacy.
Communications – including managing ACAO media platforms.
