Crime Prevention Program
Ensuring that our children and youth stay away from activities that could compromise their future
ACAO with our partner organization Equal Chance, has developed a successful crime prevention program for homeless black youth in shelters across Vanier. Our program included 78 youth, and included a Bike Club. For the very first time in their lives, over 40 children were able to obtain a free bike. We also launched the “Breakfast Club“. Twice a week during the summer, our community outreach team would bring the youth and children for breakfast in the Byward Market.
