This year again, our organization teamed up with Equal Chance and successfully planned and organized the AFRO WORLD FEST 2021, co-hosted by Canadian hip hop icon, Kardinal Offishall. The festival was headlined by French Canadian icon, Corneille, whose story of resilience after losing all his family members in the Rwandan genocide inspired many people.

The festival welcomed over 9,000 people online and a total of 300 people in person. Our in-person cultural exposé, in collaboration with the ByWard Market (Ottawa Markets), gave attendees a unique opportunity to discover Black cultures. It also allowed Black-owned businesses, through our Afro World market, to sell their products and grow their audience.
